Professional Membership Qualifications:
An owner of a professional retail Interior Design business or staff member meeting any one of the following qualifications:

• Any  individual who has passed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification)
• Any individual with a four- to five-year degree in Interior Design
• Any individual with a two-year associate degree from an accredited Interior Design program, followed with three years full-time design practice
• Any individual providing documentation of five (5) years of full-time Interior Design practice offering a complete Interior Design service

Applicant must have two (2)recommendations from current professional members of DSID.
Annual dues are $35 per year, per member.

Associate Membership Qualifications:

• Any individual working as an Interior Designer who does not yet meet the qualifications for Professional Membership.
• This level requires two current member referrals from DSID

              Annual dues are $35 per year, per member.

Student Membership Qualifications:

• Any individual enrolled in a four- or five-year Interior Design program to earn a degree in Interior Design
• Any individual enrolled in a two-year Interior Design program to earn a degree in Interior Design

              Annual dues are $25 per student.

Lifetime Membership Qualifications:

This award is in recognition of a Professional Member who has been an active and participating member of DSID for at least 10 years, or has officially retired from the active designer business.  Recipients of this award will be considered a Professional Member for the rest of their lives and will no longer be required to pay dues.  Nominations may come from any DSID member.  Nominees will be approved by the Executive Board.
